First Visit Tour 10:00 - 11:30 AM Visitor Center

Explore Smithgall Woods State Park on a guided van tour of the property. You will see Dukes Creek, our covered bridge, the many trails and visit our renowned cottages. Reservations reccommended and can be made at the Visitor Center. 706-878-3087. $5.00 Park Pass required for all vehicles.

Cathy Ellis Guided Tour 11:45 - 1:30 PM Visitor Center

Come hike the Cathy Ellis Trail with volunteers who will share the history and knowledge of the flora and fauna. This is a moderate hike. It is a mile long with a spectacular waterfall to view. Reservations are reccommended and can be made at the Visitor Center. 706-878-3087. $5.00 Park Pass required for all vehicles.

Sautee Nacoochee, GA Celebrate Get Outdoors month while enjoying a ramble through time on the grounds of the Hardman Farm, Georgia's newest State Historic Site. Explore emerging foliage, flowers, historic landscaping and stories of the families who planted them. Weather permitting.

Youth Fishing at Buck Shoals 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Buck Shoals

Children and a supervising adult can fish in a lake stocked with catfish, bass and bream. Fish caught can be kept. Bring your own bait (no corn) and rods.
